2955 right now here. I`ve been trick or treating as much as possible (too bad work cuts into a lot of that time) - so far no Squashlings, though I did get the Helm from that. Ended up getting a Squashling off Horseman so it`s ok. Also crazy close to getting the 20 masks achievement - I`m 5 away. It would be awesome to get that even though it`s being removed from the meta next patch.
I also need to finish grinding out Timbermaw rep for the Diplomat achievement (7000 into revered). Good to do it now while I have the Broom - an instant-cast mount is AWESOME for that since you can beat all the other players to the mobs ;) I got something like 100 feathers in an hour last time I tried with that mount. Yes, the Big Bang Theory is pretty good. It seems like the kind of show that might not appeal to everyone though. But any show that can get away with an exorbitant amount of Star Trek jokes is ok in my book ;) ("Why do all the aliens have the same anatomy? No alien chick ever told Kirk `Hey, get your thing out of my nose!`") Posted: August 28th, 2008 @ 5:33PM
I will reiterate the Batman: The Animated Series comments - really, really well written show. Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League/JL: Unlimited are also pretty great. Posted: August 25th, 2008 @ 9:48PM
Honestly, this show is a mixed bag for me. I do think the first season was pretty awful (they seemed to follow a "freak of the week" formula), but it definately picked up after that. At some point it started getting crazy and somewhat dumb again though - I don`t think I`ve watched it since maybe the forth season. Posted: August 18th, 2008 @ 10:36PM
Yeah, the game is somewhat buggy, I`ve had it hard lock on me as well. It also seems to have issues if you don`t have an Xbox controller as Player 1 (i.e. I had my Guitar Hero 2 guitar plugged in, and it wouldn`t work). But it`s quite a bit of fun. Posted: June 12th, 2008 @ 3:12PM
Are you using Norton Antivirus? I have previously had issues with Norton preventing my DVD-ROM drive from working correctly (basically exactly as you described, it showed up but would act like no disk was in the drive). No idea why, but as soon as I uninstalled Norton, it worked fine. Posted: May 21st, 2008 @ 2:02PM
Unless the creature creator comes with a coupon for $X off Spore, where $X is the price of the creator ($10 I think?), I don`t see why you`d want to essentially buy the tool twice (it does come packaged with Spore). And if you are getting the tool and NOT getting Spore, you`re just an idiot.
So yeah, I`ll stick to the free demo thank you. Posted: May 19th, 2008 @ 8:49AM
I stumbled across this page which may be helpful. Submit your site, verify it (you just need to create an empty html file in your root directory with the name they give), and then tell them you have no idea why your site is so low. It might help.
Yes, you can try creating a sitemap. I think that helps boost your listing with them. If anything, it might also tell you why you are ranked so low (they give some actual helpful statistics if you use their webmaster tools).
Not sure why you`d be dead last though, that`s odd. Posted: April 29th, 2008 @ 12:41PM
Yes, Mass Effect is awesome. It has a LOT of text (all voice acted at least), and has some sort of annoying bugs (nothing game-stopping though, just weird texture pops and stuff), but it`s an excellect game.
I also recently picked up Lost Odyssey which is great. It`s basically Final Fantasy, so if you like FF, you will like it. If you don`t, you won`t. But as far as Japanese RPGs go, it`s the best one on the Xbox 360 right now. Posted: March 6th, 2008 @ 6:11PM
1.) Do not buy an Arcade. Arcade is the gimp sku of the Xbox 360. Since you don`t care about HDMI, I recommend Premium/Pro. That comes with a hard drive (Arcade does not!). I believe the only thing Elite has over that model (other than price) is the black color, HDMI cables, and a larger hard drive (120gb vs. 20gb in Premium - and 20gb is really enough unless you are too lazy to delete your demos).
2.) Don`t worry about Red Ring of Death - seriously. People are right when they say the Elite doesn`t have this problem (I`ve had one since April 07 and had NO problems). But the thing is, this is true of pretty much every model now as well. As of Sept. 2007, ALL Xbox 360s are made with a cooler running motherboard and chipset. What you need to do is look for the "HDMI Enabled" (or something like that) sticker on the box - that`s an indication that it`s the newer model (Microsoft started adding HDMI ports to all the Premium model as well, though it doesn`t come with the cables for it like the Elite does).
3.) In any case, even if you DO by some chance get the Red Ring of Death, as others mentioned all 360s now have a 3 year warrenty so you should be perfectly fine.
4.) I personally don`t recommend buying it at GameStop if you can avoid it. I`ve heard nasty stories about them repackaging used systems and games like you mentioned. But if your gift certificate is limited to a mall, you might not have a choice. At the very least, definately check that all the components inside are shrinkwrapped in that Microsoft-labeled plastic when you open it up - it should be ok in that case I`d imagine.
5.) PS3 is not worth it. I completely agree with you that it has no worthwhile games. Posted: March 5th, 2008 @ 8:04PM
I agree with Briggs, I see no reason not to get something that is free and will save you money. Unless you never, ever shop there except in that one fluke case. Posted: January 6th, 2008 @ 5:27PM
I agree, I`m a bit confused as to why this is going to be two films. The Hobbit wasn`t even as long as ONE of the Lord of the Rings books. The only place I could think for them to split it up is maybe at Rivendale again. The book sort of lulls there before it gets back to the action. Though I`m not sure how satisfying an ending to the first movie that would make. I guess they could also end it with Gollum, if only to get him and the ring into the first movie. I won`t get it release day, but sadly, I`d still consider getting it. I need to hear from several reviewers first if it`s worth my time. It`s just too hard to tell right now.
Unlike Daikatana, at least Duke has some prior game experience to go off from. And Duke 3d was a great game. So while I *hope* this game lives up to that, the huge delay definately killed any chance of me getting this right away due to the previous quality of the brand.
Incidentally, I rewatched the old 2001 trailer and despite aging graphics (at this point), that did look amazing. If the final released game is still like that (and if it ever gets released), it might have a shot of being worth it. Posted: December 19th, 2007 @ 2:43PM
