| As long as it doesn`t star Topher Grace or have Nickelback in the soundtrack.
All jokes aside I enjoyed the first two Spiderman movies and the evil dead movies. Hes a good director, I just didn`t like Spiderman 3. I think they had too many villians at once and too much emo stuff in it.
However he worked on the Hercules and Xena series so he has expierience in fantasy stuff. So I think he is a fine choice for the Warcraft movie.
Even if you hate the Spiderman movies, you can`t deny how well they did in the box office. |

| Anyone else find it funny that the disclaimer at the bottom of the article is almost as long as the article itself?
It'll be interesting to see what Raimi has in store for us. I just hope this film isn't aimed at children and/or teenagers. |

| I wanted a WarCraft movie...up until Peter Jackson adapted Lord of the Rings to the screen. Between that, and the upcoming Hobbit movie(s?), there`s no real room for something as derivative as WarCraft on the big screen.
That`s not to say I don`t absolutely love the series (except WoW), it`s just that I`d rather see something like StarCraft on the big screen before WarCraft. |

| And the producer of both new Batman movies! I don't know how much effect the producer can have, but, it can only mean good things. |

| I seriously thought this movie was going to die, it was a long time before we heard anything about it until now. So this is great news. I wonder how long it will be before casting starts now that there's a director. |

| i have mixed feelings about sam. if the whole wow movie is focused on an orc crying over a girl for 2 hours ima be pissed. Sam needs to get in a peter jackson mindset. think BIG as in BIG epic. i wanna see a wow complete box set when it goes to dvd i wanna see hours and hours of specials, behind the scenes making of, i want wow to be as glorious as lotr was in its extras. i think the wow movie is going to be mega mega huge. the people aching to see more lotr type fantasy will love wow the movie. just keep crappy actors out of it. i dont wanna see no wayans brothers. or john malcovich or any of these other pukes that usually wind up in these types of movies. and most of all i dont wanna see naked orcs like blizz loves to put in their fmv`s put some damn armor on the orcs hopefully the original warlord armor because that still is the coolest looking pvp set EVER |

| Lets just hope it isn't a Cinematic movie like Final Fantasy....then again if it was....Blizzard likely would have done it in house. |

| Better see some hot Nelf action in this movie. Or at least gnome since they're the gangsters of Azeroth.

| Has there ever really been an outstanding video game to movie conversion? I don't think Mortal Kombat or Final Fantasy were that great. Resident Evil got a franchise, but was nothing special on the screen.
Based on the people being brought into this, the expected production costs, and the deep fan base, I would bet they're banking on $250 million+ domestic gross.
Any thoughts on the story? I guess the events of WC3 make for the easiest storyline. |

| The problem is they need to have characters that both fans of the warcraft universe and people who aren't familiar with it grow to love and empathize with. The problem with too many fantasy movies(and many video games) is you don't care about the characters.
Peter Jackson's LOTRs was awesome because he fully developed the characters on the screen and when Gandalf fell into the chasm with the Balrog, or Boromir was slain by the Orcs you felt a sense of loss....of course Peter Jackson made too much of a good thing with the drawn out long emotional ending of the Final book and the grey havens. He should have cut it off after the fall of Sauron and ended it with the marriage of Aragorn to Arwen and saved the rest for the extras footage for people that like to watch hobbits get emotional. |

| I liked army of darkness as well. The tree rape scene makes the first evil dead a bit embarrassing to recommend, evil dead 2 was pretty badass though.
I don't know about Rami pulling off Warcraft. I have nightmares of rubber orc suits. Still it might be awesome too, could go either way. I am psyched to see how it turns out! |
