Did anyone play the old Tribes games? I fondly remember all the different classes, the jetpacking and skiing. Well, they made a new one and it's captured at least 90% of the feel of the originals. Getting pretty solid reviews, too, I was pleasantly surprised and I got hooked. It's F2P but you unlock side-grades and add'l classes with experience or microtransactions. Similar to the League of Legends model, works pretty well since you don't ever have to buy anything.
If anyone is playing it, put something in the comments and maybe we can get a group going.

My handle in game is morbidobesity if anyone wants to friend me. I don't know anyone that plays yet, so my friend list is empty.
FYI, while you don't have to spend anything, it behooves you to drop $10 ASAP and leave it at that. It gets you VIP status that lasts forever, and boosts all experience gain by 50%. Plus you'll have a few hundred gold to toss around.
Also, there's a Facebook "like" promotion that can score you an additional 250 gold, so check into that if you dig the game.

I can't stop playing it, so addicting. I keep wasting EXP trying new classes, though.
Word of advice for anyone picking it up - go into training mode (target practice) and try out all the classes/weapons. Even if it's showing up as "Locked", you can still pick whatever you want and try it out. That way you know you know what you're spending your EXP/Gold on before you wind up wasting it.
I also highly suggest focusing on one class at first and getting it pretty decked out, that way you can mop up with it and earn more EXP faster to try out other things after you're set up.
