They're even worse off now: They have been charged with a crime and they go on tv confessing to all the elements that the prosecutor needs to prove it. And, they show a lack of remorse. I wouldn't be surprised if that judge makes them sit behind bars for the full time that a misdemeanant can sit. (364 days in many places.) |

| They actually got off pretty lightly, probation for both of them.
The blonde actually was charged with two felonies later on, for theft, big surprise, and ended up getting probation again.
Must be nice to be white AND attractive. |

| well i found out why the govt is going after cigarettes and making all these ruthless disgusting ads and raising sky high prices on it.....turns out tobbaco or rather nicotine counteracts an effect of fluoride in the human body. Flouride builds up in the peneal gland.
fluoride inhibits choleric activity as well Nicotine excites, rebounding and undoing fluorides effect. Nicotine is being used as a treatment for ADD and ADHD, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease. I will not list the rest, for every single ailment fluoride is known to cause, nicotine has the reverse effect.
I always wondered why the govt is so anti smoking when its such a money suitcase for the medical establishment by making customers for them. its also good for killing people and giving cancer. But now i know why. the peneal gland is pretty amazing in the body it sits between the halves of the brain and scientists claim its our spiritual center its a part of our brain that really effects your spirituality. and so the govt wants you being a yes man drone and being a shallow "work your 80 hours and go home watch tv and shut up" robot. smokers are generally a little more "awake" because of the nicotine. marijuana is similar. when you talk to a pot head they are generally more ...awake and aware about things as well...however pot makes ya lazy |

| well smoking is not good for you as it is now. sure if you grew your own natural tobacco and smoked it, it might not be that bad. The founders grew there own tobacco and lived long lives. But cigaretttes today contain radioactive saltpeter. used to stop cigarettes from extinguishing. and it is this radioactive saltpeter that smokers inhale into their lungs and get cancer. so its not the smoke killer6600.
So ive found out that 9 times out of 10 when the govt says something is bad for you its actually good in some cases. or when something is good for you its actually bad.
For example they have always said do not eat alot of eggs because it contains cholestorol you`ve heard that right? well the real reason why, is eggs are actually super good for you, your brain is made up entirely of cholesterol. heh it is literally brain food makes ya smart and keeps your cognitive skills very alert and active. Remember they want you dumb, stupid, and sick. And now they want to add statins in the water (forced medication again) to reduce cholesterol.....oh the gubbamint cares so much for your health dont they......bwahahaha its like the prime evils diablo and the rest of em are dumping pure poison in the water and its henchmen say "its good for ya we are gonna reduce your brain....er we mean..its good for your heart!"

| I'm surprised there hasn't been more of a positive reaction to the Surface. Here's a tablet that finally does what a tablet needs to do: gain keyboard support, gain compatibility with Windows programs, and go beyond Angry Birds and Facebook.
My concern is more with the cost. I would totally get one (the Pro, not the crappy ARM running RT) at 600 or so, but it's probably going to be closer to twice that cost.... |

| I watched the keynote address for the MS's new tablet. It's actually pretty nifty. If the retail version (particularly the Pro version) can do half of what they say it can and the price is reasonable, I think MS has a real winner on their hands. |

Also, Louisiana should NOT be requiring people to reveal their sex-offender status on facebook. It's against the Constitution's prohibition on compelled speech:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
The First Amendment as applied in this matter would read:
"LOUISIANA shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech..."
Compelled speech is not free speech. It's forced speech, and it would be an illegal law.
Also, think of all the people on the sex offender list because they had to piss really bad and couldn't wait until they get home? Bad ideas lead to bad laws made by people who are stupid and have never read the Bill of Rights to the Constitution.

I don't see a problem here. It's more or less an extension of community notification.
Here's the requirement in Lousiana for offenders to notify the neighborhood:

| I have a VERY hard time believing that pepsi and coke contain even more than slight traces of alcohol. In fact I bet you could just sonicate the stuff and inject it in a GC/MS and find out in a few minutes how much alcohol there is in it.

| Nobody wants things that benefit them cut when they need it or wants to pay for it when they dont. Our govt is to large and needs to be trimmed back social services military and all. We spend 750b on defense vs our main adversary now of china at number 2 at 150b. There is some fluff there much like in social services.. Our govt is going bankrupt and we cant pay for it all. |
