Find a way to get basking area up near the top. We might just pile rocks.
Figure out the lightning for UVB and Heat Lamp
7/6 - Today the water temp in the new tank was 83. I had the bottom heater set at 86. So I'm hoping to normalize the temp. I lost a bala shark in the old tank last night and one today. I'm guessing maybe the turtles ate him or due to the frequent water changes. I'm having a hard time keeping bala sharks alive. 5 down. 1 is still alive. I moved him to a tub.
7/4 - Water is in the tank. I might start adding fish tomorrow. I guess we'll see.
7/4 - Got all the parts and I'm hooking them up today. The lightning and basking area is still nowhere close to being figured out. But let's first get water in the tank.
6/28 - Got my pump yesterday but still have to get 3 pieces to hook it up. Still waiting for Sump and some FlexPVC to hook up the plumbing.
6/26 - New page I made on the tank6/26 - I was able to get some more things for the pump. The pump is arriving today. You won't go to my turtle site so now you have to read about it here. :)
6/25 - I was going to go look for parts but then my car bit it. :(
6/24 - 10:28 p.m.. OK drove around all day but ran out of time before the stores closed. I'm still looking for FlexPVP pipe that home depot claims to have yet none of the 2 stores knew what it was. Then I need a few white pipe pieces. Then I'm ready to glue it all and get the water going. Then I need to figure out the lights.
One fish store we went to had the exact same tank. We looked at how they did their lights. They had 2 packages of $16 for 2 lights for the holders. So $32 + lights. They also drilled the top which I'll need help with.
Bigred helped me all day over text message. He's certainly a saint. Greymoon has also been giving me tons of help. It's nice to find two of you with experience that can help.
I have to get some things to hook it up and buy some lights for it. picture.
I bought flex pvc that you are talking about from LOWES about a month ago. You cut it to length. It was on the same isle as the sprinkler stuff. I used it on my outdoor pond. It was clear and stranded.
