| could start sooner noss. if this new cyber security bill passes that chuck "grab the guns" shumer secretly added a ban of clips of more than 10 bullets and heres the thing....it calls for a banning of any devices that can hold a clip like that which pretty much means ALL semi auto handguns. thats your standard 9 mil`s and any handgun really except a revolver. Not just the sale but the possession of...meaning you will have to turn them in and cops/military going to gun owners house`s to collect them. That right there will and could start an apocalypse....if people fight back. |

| "secretly added" = on the public record.
also any time the government tries to ban guns the supreme court turns them down, i highly doubt they'd change their mind now
also july 27 passed, did the UN pass that toothless resolution making americans get rid of their handguns? did you research it yet so you saw the part that america had put in before they would back it saying that the resolution must defer to individual countries constitutions and laws? |

| RE: ICE agent facing suspension for arresting illegal alien.
Okay, I'm all for deporting leeches and troublemakers, but if you read the story it seems like the ICE agent is getting suspended for insubordination. Sure the guy he arrested has 10 previous traffic violations, but that's hardly a crime of the century (it's not even a misdemeanor in most states). Heck, the article does not elaborate on whether the illegal paid the tickets or not. A lot of times they do. This helps them (illegals) avoid getting warrants for minor traffic violations.
The agent's bosses made a decision based on organizational guidance that comes from the Commander in Chief. You might not like policy, but you can't selectively give the entire chain of command the middle finger. The agent in question is an 18 year veteran and has prior military service. He should have known better.
This is just a case of Fox getting a cheap headline to grind a particular axe. I'm all for immigration enforcement, but I hate the dishonesty that surrounds the debate. I like how Fox labels it an "exclusive." Yeah, it's exclusive because no other news organization worth the name would consider insubordination newsworthy.
RE: 130-year old bowhead whale:
A giant bowhead whale caught off the coast of Alaska had a harpoon point embedded in its neck that showed it survived a similar hunt more than a century ago.
We finally caught the S.O.B. and got the lance back. Case closed.
RE: Farmer running over police cars
Real funny until a serious call doesn't get a timely response because of a shortage of patrol vehicles. The department is probably self-insured, so the taxpayers will be footing the bill on this one. I'm sure the turd who ran them over will never make restitution on the $300,000+ in damage. Then there will be the cost of prosecuting him (police investigation time, paying the judge, prosecutors, court staff, public defender). If the dickhead elects a jury trial, 12 peoples' lives will be interrupted for this nonsense. Not only that, but he'll cost taxpayers about $30,000 per year while he's incarcerated for the next year or two. All told, this will probably be about a half million dollars in waste because this tool has an anger management problem. Hmmm, maybe they should have let him smoke that weed afterall.

| I don`t think that Mentos thing would work at all. They would dissolve a little in the water before it freezes plus the ice cubes would melt so unevenly that I doubt you`d get any combined effect even if they hadn`t dissolved already. |

| I don't think medals should be completely tax free, but how much they are taxed right now is ridiculous. I mean, everyone should pay taxes if everyone else has to. but they tax them like well over 30% which is retarded. |

| The cop who got his foot ran over by the Ferrari driver very clearly placed his foot under the tire and crouched close to the vehicle. He KNEW that the driver was preparing to leave, and he stepped in the way. I have no sympathy, and the charges against the driver should be dismissed. The cop should be fired for idiocy.

| Zelph: I think both the driver and the officer acted inappropriately, but on balance the Ferrari driver was more in the wrong. No doubt the cop used poor judgment for using his body / foot to try and impede the Ferrari from leaving. At the end of the day though, the driver should not have just assumed he could brush by the officer in his car. I agree that the charges in this case will be greatly reduced. |

| august is boring, what we need is obama to sell flouride to mexican drug cartels in a sting operation that leads to the flouride being brought back into america and someone taking it into a theatre full of people and forcing them to put it in their 'too large for consumption in new york' sugary drinks thus lowering their iq's and leading cnn to tell us the difference between coke and pepsi for 24 hours so that we know pepsi didn't cause 9/11 |

abortion is a shitty thing, a worse thing is dumping a fetus in a landfill and not using it for research into things.
though in typical rrp fashion you probably read that article and are sure that pepsi has giant factories where thy impregnate women to get at those sweet aborted kidneys with assembly line efficency to keep our stores full of delicious pepsi |

| I think EA's problem is that they have forgotten how to deliver a great gaming experience to a consumer. They got fat and lazy, tried subscribing to tactics only they could attempt (purchasing exclusivity from the NFL for one) to reduce competition but without actually increasing gameplay quality.
They have done some super awesome things, I've enjoyed their games since Mutant League and General Chaos, through the NBA Lives and Madden NFLs, however right now I haven't purchased a game from them in years due to their craptastic practices.

| RE: Lance Armstrong...
I can understand why he's giving up. He's been fighting these allegations for more than a decade. The man has been tested *hundreds* of times throughout his cycling career and every single test has come back as negative. There's some hearsay here and there but not one shred of physical evidence.
I believe a criminal investigation was pursued in 2009 and no charges were ever levied against him. And now all of a sudden this US doping agency has all this "alleged" proof but won't disclose any of it unless he submits himself to yet another dog and pony show to prove his innocence yet again.
I think his record speaks for itself. He shouldn't have to spend another dime, another minute entertaining these jokers. If he cheated, release the evidence and be done with it. It's innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around. |

| The US Anti Doping Agency can't actually strip armstrong of his tour wins because they didn't give him his tour wins. The Société du Tour de France runs the Tour de France, and they and the international cycling union are the only two bodies that have any authority to take the titles away from Armstrong. |

| i just assume that in todays age of sports that everyone is 'cheating' by using PEDs, and the drug tests administered during the competitions are just iq tests.
especially in the world of cycling.
the whole case is 'yes he's never been caught, but all these people that were eventually caught say they passed tests while cheating and that they heard/saw/got advice on how to from lance armstrong the whole time'
i know the government is supposed to do the business of the people, but do a majority of americans give a shit if lance armstrong or barry bonds used drugs to keep up with all the other drug users? |

Frankly, I don't know who to side with.
Lance has incredible celebrity clout and has used it to undermine doping research as well as individuals that he may be in opposition with.
One of the things with the evidence that people are talking about was that all the events leading up to this most recent had to do with bringing the allegations on Lance. Now that they are finally 'approved' (for a lack of a better word), testimony and evidence are going to start coming into play.
Essentially, Lance is finally going to have to face and react to evidence and testimony, something he may not want to necessarily have happen.
I don't really know much more than what I've read in a few articles, and while I haven't sided with the individual or organization - things are a lot more complicated than what they appear to be on the surface. |
