Got rid of Citibank
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on October 19th, 2014 @ 11:30AM

They suck. They promised all these thank you points for doing all these tasks I did. I got 0. Then they just mailed they're increasing their limit to avoid the monthly bank fee. THEN they just raised the bank fee to $25 a month. Such aholes.

Chase Bank is the WORST
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on September 11th, 2014 @ 5:16PM

Update 9/10 - Just when you think they can't get any worse. They've decided to shut down my credit card because of losing a relationship with the CAR I have. I was using the card to earn money to fix my car whenever it breaks. I've earned like $3,000+ in free repairs. It's the best card I've ever had. Now those jerks are ending it. The Subaru dealer wanted to know where I even had that thing, they said you can't even get them anymore. Now I know why. I'd love to 100% ditch Chase but they have the Disney Card which offers 6 MONTHS of no interest on their cruises. So I'm stuck with those jerks still. I think I'll shut down my bank account and credit card with them though.

Chase + Bank America + Citibank.

Credit Card Recommendations?
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on September 11th, 2014 @ 5:15PM

I'm down to just being stuck with American Express. Anyone have any recommendations for good cards, preferably that help with airlines.

I had the Alaskian Airlines one but they kept fucking that one over. Charging more money, and lowering the benefits for it until it wasn't even worth it anymore.

Sallie Mae Mastercard: 5% on Gas, Groceries, and Amazon/Bookstores

US Bank Cash Plus Visa: 5% On categories that you choose(I go with Restaurants and Cell Phone)

Discover IT: 5% on Quarterly Rotating Categories

Chase Freedom: 5% on Quarterly Rotating Categories

Citi Double Cash: 2% on Everything, use to fill in the gaps with the stuff you don't have 5% on

Verizon
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on August 18th, 2014 @ 11:22AM

They're the best of the worst but I hate them so bad. We just wanted to change ownership on the account and we were in the store like an HOUR including 30-45 mins on the phone AT the store. They were supposed to call back and confirm everything, 2 hours goes by, they never responded. Then it wasn't over, later in the day, it was another 25 min call cuz the first person didn't do anything after all that 45 mins. The first one was the worst Customer Service rep I've ever experienced. They must do like 8 calls a day.

Their internet isn't much better. I have FIOS and when I moved I called and scheduled an installation in the new place. I even got a confirmation email. When the time for the appointment came and went I called and they had no record of the installation order being placed. This happened not once, but twice.

The Organic Myth
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on February 6th, 2014 @ 5:00PM

Businessweek

So it may come as a surprise that Stonyfield's organic farm is long gone. Its main facility is a state-of-the-art industrial plant just off the airport strip in Londonderry, N.H., where it handles milk from other farms. And consider this: Sometime soon a portion of the milk used to make that organic yogurt may be taken from a chemical-free cow in New Zealand, powdered, and then shipped to the U.S. True, Stonyfield still cleaves to its organic heritage. For Chairman and CEO Gary Hirshberg, though, shipping milk powder 9,000 miles across the planet is the price you pay to conquer the supermarket dairy aisle. "It would be great to get all of our food within a 10-mile radius of our house," he says. "But once you're in organic, you have to source globally."

Fucking Verizon
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on January 16th, 2014 @ 9:05AM

I hate those fuckers so bad. Nearly every year they're trying to come up with ways to make my service cost more and have less features.

  • They just kicked me off the company discount. I had a credit union discount but the union no longer exists. So they demanded proof I'm still a member, then cut me off and added $300 a YEAR to my bill.
  • They just put out an update to the Galaxy S3 that add a shitty custom Verizon startup screen when before it was the galaxy startup screen. Then it completely fucks with hotspots. So my hotspot is disconnecting ALL THE TIME now when it worked fine for 1+ year. Fucking motherfuckers.
  • They started charging $25 to activate a phone when it was free before.
  • They got rid of unlimited text/data
  • They try to kick you off the perm unlimited text/data if you EVER UPGRADE YOUR PHONE. So we go to a little shit shack and they add the new phone without the penalty.
  • They had an upgrade your phone every 2 years plan, then they get rid of that and only give you a $50 or less credit now.

FUCKING HATE THEM!

This is why I got rid of my phone a few years ago ... all cell phone companies are scammers
