Salt Water Tank 24g

Here's a picture of the tank + E's new Basketball uniform for this season AND the new salt water tank. I'll try to take yet another better photo. Right now we just have sand and water in it.

It's probably the dumbest thing to do but we won a $200 tank so I added $150 to get a $360 tank with a stand, 24 gallon. The tanks always look so amazing. But now I gotta manage 5 fing tanks and get all this stuff for a salt water tank. It's going to take month(s) before I can even add coral or fish to it (cycling process).

And won $200 certificate for aquariums. The problem is though, that just means I have to buy another aquarium. We're thinking about getting a small salt water one but that probably means another $300 setup. So I guess we'll see.

Brett and this girl from the show TANKED were there. We got their picture, shirt, autograph. Brett is my fav character but it's just him in real life. He's himself, not a character. The poor guys were STUCK there sitting down for hours and most of the people had no idea who they were. Seems like they're so rich that was a waste of their time. I wonder why they were there.

Sorry, spent like 20 hours last two days working on my aquarium.

Friday 6-9 p.m. shopping, then worked on it until 1am.

Yesterday 12-4 p.m. shopping. Then building, then shopping 2 more times. Then building/working until 10:30 p.m.

6/24 - 10:28 p.m.. OK drove around all day but ran out of time before the stores closed. I'm still looking for FlexPVP pipe that home depot claims to have yet none of the 2 stores knew what it was. Then I need a few white pipe pieces. Then I'm ready to glue it all and get the water going. Then I need to figure out the lights.

One fish store we went to had the exact same tank. We looked at how they did their lights. They had 2 packages of $16 for 2 lights for the holders. So $32 + lights. They also drilled the top which I'll need help with.

Bigred helped me all day over text message. He's certainly a saint. Greymoon has also been giving me tons of help. It's nice to find two of you with experience that can help.

I have to get some things to hook it up and buy some lights for it. picture.

It's so awesome. It's rare I'm this excited.

I got my new pump and I'm assembling the PVC and pipes. Looks like it's all ready to put in. I put it in my old tank to test it.

I took the day off and went to the Pet Expo with M. Bacon all day. If I did it again I'd take the 10 year old boy E instead. All she cared about is candy. The boy on the other hand was nuts over all the pets when he showed up about 4:15 (closed at 6 p.m.).

The boy is a master looter. His mama taught him well. He came away with like $100 of stuff for free in only 1 hour going around to the booths. We're going to go back and I imagine what he'll come away with all day of looting. He woulda made a great catch for those old cities and times where the kids rob and steal for the parents.

All the turtle stuff lead up to this moment. Turtle bang! hahahaha. So funny..

Today we went to http://www.prehistoricpets.com/. It's kinda a ripoff. Like $15 for 3 to get in to their little pet area. It's good for one time. I wouldn't keep going there though.

You could feed like 25 red ear slider turtles and some giant ass scary fish for $3. It was so cool. You fed them live worms with tongs. Then they had some GIANT ass turtles that were 200 lbs. You could feed them a bag of lettuce and carrots for $3. It was fun.

We spent about 1-2 hours there.
