I love Soda. I found this Soda shop with 1,600 flavors/bottles. The problem was that they charge fucking $3 for a single bottle of soda. Fuck that. I was so sad. I want to try them but only 3 bottles for $9? + CRV. WTF. If they charge $2 or $2.50, I'd buy tons.COMMENTS (4) | FOOD | DIGG
Roscoes Chicken & Waffles
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on February 20th, 2013 @ 5:39PM
First time I heard about this, I'm thinking what a racist and strange combination. They even had an OBAMA chicken special. But...
We went there last weekend. It had 1,400+ Yelp reviews. The wait was horrible, like 45 mins+. But the food was incredible. I've never liked fried chicken but I ate every piece of this stuff. The waffles were also incredible. I've heard about this place from gangster rap songs or movies or who knows where.
So totally recommended if you can find one. The chicken will blow your mind.
And FYI 1/2 the customers were black but this was Long Beach.COMMENTS (3) | FOOD | DIGG
Made Sugar Cookies
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on February 17th, 2013 @ 8:53PM
I suck at cooking. I baked some sugar cookies today. One mistake I made was making the dough rounds so big some of the cookies blended together. I also don't know how they decorate them after but I can learn next time. I just love sugar cookies, I'm addicted. I saw how much sugar and butter went into them though haha.
My mom makes the best lemon cookies. It's shortbread with lemon frosting over them. I loved them so much.COMMENTS | FOOD | DIGG
Del Taco Scam
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on January 2nd, 2013 @ 12:58AM
So I didn't realize after every meal they give you a survey. If you go back to your computer and fill it out, you can bring it back for either $1 off or a $1 burrito or taco. Well as I went through my receipts I had like 22 of them. So I just sat there filling out surveys and stacking 1-3 in my wallet. Then I keep going back to Del Taco and get money off + get even more surveys haha. I've saved like $3-5. If I had done this EVERY visit I'd have saved $20.
They are supposed to expire after 3 months but their survey system doesn't check the date so it doesn't care. Then it gives you a valid code. So they people at the drive thru don't care either.COMMENTS (3) | FOOD | DIGG

Robert Downy Jr: Burger King saved my life
Posted by: m0rb0 on August 8th, 2012 @ 4:17PM
Now THAT'S funny. The 'Whopper' is a decent burger, but every other burger I've had there SUCKS. Their 'Sirloin' burgers are awful. Like charred cardboard.COMMENTS (14) | FOOD | DIGG

Orange County Food Places
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on July 9th, 2012 @ 2:45PM
If you like to dine, this is the right place. You can usually find someplace new to try. Try “Yelp” for ideas. http://www.yelp.com
Food Trucks - Specialty Food Trucks is one of the new Orange County craze. There are lots of great choices and they meet up at several locations in the area. http://www.lookingforfoodtrucks.com/p/find-food-truck.html
Better than In-N-Out? The Habbit
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on July 9th, 2012 @ 10:18AM
BigRed taught me about the Habbit. I got a pineapple burger. Man this thing is way better than in-n-out. Also has Sweet Potato fries (try those whenever they offer). Good stuff! Try it if you get a chance.COMMENTS (1) | FOOD | DIGG
La Salsa Noooooo
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on June 30th, 2012 @ 7:13PM
I love this place
I went to eat their the other week and it was gone. I went to the other location, gone. And the 3rd location shut down.
Looks like there might still be one around. I'm going to seek it out.
Update: I drive to their location and they close at 4 on a Sunday. Screwed. It's nowhere close either. What a waste of gas.COMMENTS | FOOD | DIGG
Vanilla Chai Tea (Bolthouse Farms)
Posted by: hjparcins on May 26th, 2012 @ 1:24PM
Wow. Try this stuff if you haven't. It's like pureed pumpkin pie mixed with half-and-half. It's easily one of the best drinks I've ever had.
My wife likes the Green Goodness, but nothing beats the chai.

We went out to eat and M. Bacon fell asleep on the way. So we ate but then she work up at like 10 and wanted food. We went to Carls Jr but the outside of it smelled like an outhouse. Like there was a raw sewage leak. So we ordered and then the place made us wait like 5 mins in the stench for the food (in the drive thru). We asked them about the smell and they played dumb. You had to know they knew about it. They might have even been the cause. But it's also right next door to the water company. I've never in my life smelled anything so nasty. Even an outhouse isn't that bad. The whole family was dying. Once we got our food we floored it and got away with the windows down hahaha.COMMENTS (4) | FOOD | DIGG
Navel Orange/Lemon on my Blood Orange Tree?
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on February 7th, 2012 @ 12:58PM
(when I look up Lemon on Orange Tree I'm the #2 result. One page said if you had a Lemon Tree below the Orange tree that might explain the lemons. But I think this tree has always been a lemon tree. I think the bee's are creating the Lemons/Navel Oranges... These are NOT hybrid ones, they're straight up full fruits.

I didn't get a chance to post a lot today because of a project at home: 3 meat chili with a ghost pepper.
The Ghost pepper is SUPER hot. We used one in about a gallon of chili, and it turned out great. I was a bit nervous about how hot it would be. Like that episode of The Simpsons where Homer goes crazy after eating the "Insanity Pepper" Hahahaha
There's a place here in San Antonio Four Horseman Burger @ Chunky's that's been on that TV show "Man vs. Food".COMMENTS (1) | FOOD | DIGG

I love Little Caesars!
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on January 10th, 2012 @ 1:14AM
I went there 4 times. $5 Pizzas. This one even had a drive thru. All the ones near Irvine closed. Now the stores are only in the ghetto or at my dads in Sacramento or Oregon. I don't care if it's ghetto pizza. It rules. I've been going since age 16. It used to be the #3 chain. But then they scaled down or went bankrupt or something. Then they switched from $1$12 pizzas to $5. At our kids bday party they charged $30 a pizza. Four were $120!!!!!! That's 24 pizzas at Little Caesars.
Can you fucking believe $30 for a large pizza. What assholes. Another place I went to also wanted $30 for a pizza.COMMENTS (17) | FOOD | DIGG

Fuck you Dryers
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on October 9th, 2011 @ 1:29AM
Year(s) ago they downsized the container massively and put "frozen dairy dessert" because it's not even ice cream anymore. Then they raised the prices massively. It's now $6.99 for a tiny fake frozen dairy dessert. Before you got a much bigger container with actual ice cream for $3-4.
Fuck you Wall street!COMMENTS (9) | FOOD | DIGG

They got a Slurpee machine the cafe. It's not quite the one from 7-11. It's one of those ones you see at like Wetzel's Pretzels where it's the big clear rectangle box with the slushy in there spinning. It's Ok. $1.61 for a regular cup. People said where's the big big cups.COMMENTS | FOOD | DIGG
Awesome Drink Machine

You know it's the future when they give you something you didn't even know you're missing that makes your life better.
New Coke Machine - They have it at the Spectrum Movie Theater. But honestly I don't see any flavors there that I was missing. We tried about 3-4 out that were nasty. But it's super cool and I'll keep trying.
