  • 5/20 - Netflix Streaming: Madhouse
  • 3/11 - Convoy! - that movie rules
  • 3/11 - Lockout - Future Prison break movie with Guy Pearce. It was pretty cool. Not the best, but entertaining.
  • 2/26 - Rec 3 - Awesome is on. A Zombie movie. The ending is kinda weird.
  • 2/18 - The Car - Kinda entertaining.
  • 1/17 - Butter Kinda entertaining.
  • 1/16 - Casa De Mi Padre by Will Ferrell. So funny you have to see it, esp if you speak Spanish.
  • 1/15 - Netflix Streaming: Wilderness: Lord of the Flies type movie. Similar to Battle Royal.
  • 1/15 - Horror: Severance - Another movie about the same but this time it's a company retreat gone bad.
  • 12/5 - Bernie - Jack Black. An original and entertaining movie. Great performance by Jack Black.
  • Steven King's Bag of Bones - Scared the crap outta me. Pierce and that girl sure don't belong to each other. She's like 20s/30s and he's like 70s haha.

The movie was pretty entertaining. I didn't fall asleep. They did about the best that they could have done with it. There were a few lame parts but overall it's worth seeing. I saw it in 3D but I feel like 3D is pointless and a waste.

I enjoyed it. It's a weird zombie movie that makes no sense at all. The major bad guys are not even possible, even in the zombie world. It's certainly original at least and at $2 for the dollar theater, it was fine.

That movie drug on FOREVER. It's a date movie that chicks will like but for dude's there's very little except for some nudity. There's a few laughs but not many. It's certainly no "Knocked UP"

    Movie: Zero Dark Thirty
    Posted by: m0rb0 on February 4th, 2013 @ 8:50AM

Saw it this weekend. I would say a 6 or 7 out of 10. It's REALLY long (2.5hrs+) and there isn't much action at all. A lot of drama, and it's done well, just not as fast paced as it could have been.

I guess it's more about the "hunt" than the takedown. I've seen almost all of the TV specials on it, so it doesn't really show anything new. It's a good movie, but not as good as "Hurt Locker".

    I finally found Redbox. haha.

Looper: It's funny how they found a guy that sorta looks like Bruce Willis young. But we remember when he looked young (Moonlightning) so it doesn't quite work for longtime fans. We enjoyed the movie but MLady didn't like the kid killing and both of us weren't terribly excited about the ending.

I wouldn't call the movie totally awesome or anything like some seem to say but it was worth a watch at least.

So bad. I hated it. I just wanted to load up the old ones. The new peter parker sucks. The guy doesn't get any cooler or better when he turns to Spider-Man. The scenes were even repeated. The only thing that made you want to watch was Emma. It's like a shittier version of something you've already watched. I knew by the first trailer this movie would blow and I was right.

i wasn't a fan. the whole movie was a mess. marvel needs to get the rights back to make spiderman movies and maybe they can do something decent with it.

  • Action figures for 'Django Unchained' draw protest - Action figures, haha.

    Earlier Post
I saw it. It's amazing for sure. It's long, the show started at 10:40 and I was out of there at 1:50 a.m. I'd say try to get there as late as possible to avoid the previews which took forever.

Although the movie was long, it kept you very interested. But be warned there's lots of shocking and disturbing scenes. The way they treated slaves was horrible. It might make you cry.

The acting was out of this world. I almost never notice acting unless it's really bad but for this movie, you knew all the people but they did a great job of convincing you they were completely different people.

    Action/gun fighting was pretty good.

The dude from Inglorious Basterds was really good yet again. He was the whole movie. You hung on his every word intersted to see what he'd say next. But Leo and Samuel L were amazing too.

That movie really gets you thinking. If I was black it certainly would inspire me to make the best out of my life seeing what the slaves went through.

Streaming: Netflix - You gotta watch this if you love war movies. It does some crazy stuff you've never seen before. China movies rule. It's also on Amazon Prime.

Watched it. Liked it a lot. The generals from that time are so famous they are like super heroes in Chinese culture hehe. There are plenty of video games about them. That's why the movie went so out of it's way to highlight the generals and tacticians. I've always been partial to Kong Ming / Zhuge Liang, and Liu Bei's generals. This famous novel covers the time period - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_of_the_Three_Kingdoms

I have that movie but I've never gotten around to watching it. Trailer for it did look pretty cool. Another movie I recently got a hold of was Flying Swords of Dragon Gate (LINK). It's from the same guy who did Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame (LINK).

The scope of the cinematography in both movies is pretty amazing. And I agree, these kinds of Chinese movies really are great to watch.
