Real Genius(1985)
Val Kilmer. This is a typical 80s movie. Really goofy plot, kinda funny. I saw this at the Theater when it came out. I really love this movie. I think it's the Tears for Fears song at the end that really makes me dig the movie. This also has that jerk from the Die Hards

Fast times at Ridgemont High
This is a classic. It has a lot of people that went on to stardom later on. You want to see the full non TV version for the extra juicy funny scenes.

Stand By Me
This movie rocks. We got Westly Crusher from STNG, Corry Feldman (crappy 80 movies king), and Jerry O'connell from My Secret Identity, Sliders, Scream 2. It's a story of 4 boys on a mission and it has plenty of laughs too. That puke scene man, has me laughing every time.

The Goonies (1985)
Great adventure movie. I named one of my rabbits after Chunk.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)
Matthew Broderick. Everyone loves this movie. The story about a dude skipping school and getting away with it. I think the band Save Ferris got their name from this movie also.

Pretty in pink (1986)
Maybe it should go in the chick movies section but it's 80s. I love all those Molly Ringwold movies. It's a story of a poor girl trying to find a man in a rich snob school. It has the secretary from Ghostbusters and some bitchin' tunes. I bought this baby. I saw it at the Drive-In along with Smokey & The Bandit 3 when it came out. John Hughes Movie

The Breakfast Club (1985)
It's a movie about spending time in detention and yet it's great. It's a movie about nothing yet you can identify with it because it's about kids and how they are treated in school. It's about clics and fitting in. It's about parents. Even the adults talk about their lives and how things have turned out. It's got Emillio Estavez (I love many his movies) Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald, Judge Nelson and that other guy. It's a John Hughes Movie (tons of hits)

Say Anything
A romantic comedy with John Cuesack. I think this is a pretty cool movie, it's kinda funny.

Lucas (1986)
With Charlie Sheen, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Winona Ryder (yuck) and starring Corey Haim. "A young nerdy boy hopes to gain acceptance in a high school by not backing down". It's a nice growing up type movie.

The Karate Kid (1984)
A classic movie that many people have seen. Now that you watch it agin, it's totally lame, especially the fighting compared to say a Jackie Chan Movie but it was great at the time. It's also got Elisebeth Shue.

Adventures in Babysitting (1987)
The story was unbelievable for sure but who cares. Eliz Shue and she was HOT!
