Cleopatra(1963)
246 mins. Starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton in the biggest
boldest spectacle of them all. I just had to buy this big baddie, $30.
It's a Roman extravanza. This was the biggest film for quite a long
a long time. A Braveheart for their times. If you're willing to put
in the time, it's certainly worth it.
Sparticus(1960)
Kirk Douglas. The only complaint I have about this movie is the sad ending...
Yet more Roman fun!
Ben-Hur(1959)
Who hasn't seen this one? If you haven't you should. The tale of a hero. Plenty
of action including that big chariot scene where someone died.
It's a pretty long movie tho...
The Towering Inferno(1974)
This is one of my favorite disaster movies. A crapload of stars are in this
movie. Steve McQueen, Paul Neuman, William Holden and more. The story is
a tower that catches on fire. What a great movie. I gotta watch it every so
often much like Die Hard.
Titanic(1997)
As far as the movie goes. I loved it. Like Jonny* said, It has something for everyone.
Action, Special effects, romance, nudity :). It was an epic. So far I've not found one
person who didn't love it. I'm sure if there was such a person it would be Shaf, mister
StarShip Troopers suck and Alien 4 is the social event of the year. HA! Someone mentioned
that the special effects looked pretty real, well I thought they were pretty good but it
was still a cartoon. Other than the shots of the ship on the outside, they looked
pretty good. This movie for me reaches epic status. It's one to buy and keep. But it kind
of bothers me that for such a movie there wasn't one quality actor out there besides
Arnie? Come on!
