Braveheart
This is probably one of my favorite movies (I have a lot of them) This movie has everything you want, violence and lots of it. It has a great story, great music, and leaves you awe-struck at the end. You are ready to head out and beat some Red Coat Hide. I just had to buy this movie. I also bought the sound track, which is really really good. If you haven't seen this, after kicking yourself in the arse, you should head out to the video store and rent it.

Duel(1971)
Directed by Steven Spielberg, this helped launch his career. This movie stars Dennis Weaver and the story of the movie is a Trucker who harrasses poor Dennis who has a crappy car that overheats. It's a really funny movie, but I think it was probably meant to be scary. If you're the type of person that likes MST3000 type movies, get this one. It's great to watch with friends. TNT/TBS runs it every so often.

Warning: Don't read if you don't want to spoil the plot
Dennis Weaver is such a puss. He's the woman of his house. He has those faery sideburns. Those google glasses. This first mistake was passing the truck while it was trying to go up hill. He passed the truck 2 times without signaling. Then he got to the gas station first, making the truck driver have to wait for him. He was probably like, that jackass passed me two times when I was trying to go up hill, and made me wait at the Gas station too. Dennis should have checked the engine himself after the service guy pointed out the problem. Instead he ignored it like a lil bitch. Then after the Truck was leaving the gas station, he came apon Dennis going 40 mph. 40 mph! I'd run his ass off the road too. Then he starts honking at the guy. You don't honk at a truck. So the Truck waved him around him, even tho another car was coming. That was a really nice trick. Dennis shouldn't have gone around if he couldn't see ahead, that was his mistake. Then he passed the truck, which he shouldn't have done. It was better to have the truck ahead, and just waited, instead of going around. THEN it looks like he flipped off or waved at the truck after he passed it. More and more mistakes. So after he did pass, and the truck starts riding his ass, he should have quickly jerked the car to one side and jammed on the brakes. The Truck would have shot right by him like Buck Rogers. So we get to the restraunt scene. What I woulda done is asked whose truck was parked out there. Ask the whole bar at once. If no one answered, I would have walked out and started punching holes in the guys tires. He couldn't follow with a bunch of flat tires. Then if the guy did run to his truck, get in the car and book for it. At the final scene when the truck goes over, the door was open as if the guy had jumped, but they just ended it. I woulda liked Dennis to go see the body or something, not sitting there crying like a lil bitch.

Who was the truck driver? Well he had boots, it looked like a blue shirt.

The Warriors(1979)
This was one of the original Gansta movies and I love it. Fights broke out in the theaters over this baby. It was awesome. Hey Warriors, come out and play. I watch this baby all the time. Can you dig it? Can you dig it!!!

One question, if the Warriors just sent a 9 guy team to the meeting, where was the rest of the gang when they got back to Coney Island? Wouldn't they be around to meet them?

3 O'Clock High(1987)
This movie is all about a bully and a fight after school. The bully has Brass Knuckles. That move gave me a facination with Brass Knuckles and I had to buy some. They are illegal tho.

Friday (With Ice Cube)
Even white boys love this movie. Warp sure loved it. I love gangsta movies being from Southern California. This movie was probably my favorite for the summer out of all the movies. It is just so funny. I think this movie will probably appeal to all audiences (Young audiences, grandma won't love this one), you don't gotta be a brotha to enjoy this one. I bought both the movie and the sound track to this, which I also love. I also love quoting this movie for no reason all the time :) We watch this one all the time.

Maximum Overdrive (With Emilio Estavez)
Almost all Emilio's movies are great. This movie is about a bunch of machines that go crazy and kill everyone. It's by Stephen King. Man I LOVE this movie. I first saw it on WTBS. The music is by AC/DC. I mean how can you go wrong? A movie about a bunch of machines killing everyone, music playing by AC/DC and Stephen King. This is must see, must own. I love the Sound Track, AC/DC: who made who. I watch this movie at least once a month. I still laugh when the Soda machine kills the Little League team and the Ice Cream truck runs over little kids.

Total Recall (Arnold Something :)
Man this was the second R movie I saw in the theater. It was pretty shocking the first time I saw it. I wasn't quite used to such violence. It was also kinda confusing at first. But I came outta the theater going YEAH YEAH YEAH. I bought this movie of course as the first movie I ever bought. I watch this movie all the time. My quote in my High School Year books was "Kinda makes me wish I had 3 hands." Most of the teachers of course didn't get it, but the students who saw the movie sure did :) Was he really in the Machine or wasn't he. I've discussed this in great detail with many people but even now I'm not sure. They would make you think he wasn't but there is evidence for both sides. Hmmm a Total Recall Issues page??? :) For the memory of a life time, recall recall recall....

Red Dawn(1984)
Charlie Sheen, Patrick Swazee(don't let that fag stop you from watching it) C. Thomas Howell, Lea Thompson, Jennifer Grey. The idea is Soviets come and invade the US, and a bunch of high school kids fight them. The description sounds kinda corney now for sure, but during the 80s this was serious stuff. I know I sat there thinking about what if Russia Invaded. Warp watched this for the first time and although he did enjoy it he also felt it was corny. Yeah I've heard that from others too, but I think it's not so corny that it's not a great movie. I mean yeah it kinda strikes me funny that Russians would start shooting High Schoolers, but come on this was the cold war. We thought Russians were all bad guys :) Back then it wasn't hard to imagine the russians doing this. This movie stirs up a big feeling of American Pride. I almost bust a tear at the end of the movie each time. (See Expect Nothing! has a little heart) I had to buy this one.

Massacre at Central High(1976)
This has to be one of my all time favorites. And virtually no one knows about this movie except me. I found it on WTBS (known for crappy movies or crappy good movies :) at like 4 am one night. I had to record it. The idea is a student starts killing everyone in the high school. This movie sucks, but it sucks so bad that it's funny and great. I laugh through the whole thing, although I'm sure that wasn't the plan for the movie. haha. You will not find this movie anywhere. I couldn't order it at the Movie Stores. You NEVER find it an any video store. Let this be your quest, to somehow find this movie and watch it. Cuz it ROCKS. The student who dies diving into the empty pool? I mean how could you not be laughing your arse off. If anyone ever finds this at any store, I want to buy it. I am pretty sure that this is the second in a series too, they kept referring to stuff that didn't happen but seemed to have already happened. This very very very low budget movie, I'm sure me and my friends coulda made it. haha. I would love to devote a whole page talking about every little detail of the movie like Star Wars but no one but me and my friends (I forced them) have seen it.

[More about it]

Heathers.(1989)
Christian Slater, Shannon Doherty(Don't listen to the media she rocks! :), and that Wionninana Rider hoe. I hate her but oh well. Man it's almost as if the creator of this movie saw Massacre at Central high because the idea for the movie is almost exact. High School students who go crazy and start killing everyone. This movie is pretty funny too. I had to buy this one also. People dying everywhere. It was really funny when those 2 guys were killed and they turned it into a gay lover suicide pact. (Mineral Water, of course it was so obvious) Great movie, yet another movie probably designed to be scary but it was pretty damn funny. Must own must see.

Mad Max Trilogy
Man these has to be my all time favorite collection of movies. These were the first movies I ever rented and of course I bought them. So much of my life is affected by these movies. I got them all pretty much memorized. What Star Wars is to most other geeks, these movies are to me. Mel Gibson rocks. I love driving, and this is my kinda movie.

Mad Max
This movie is really really strange the first time you see it. It was shot in Australia and the language is kinda rough. The movie is also kinda low budget it seems. It's probably a Cultural deal. My favorite English teacher (who is a big Mel Fan) said she made here husband leave the movie the first time because it was so weird. Man after the second or third time, I realized I LOVED this movie. I still love yelling "I'm the Night Rider, I'm the rocker, I'm the Roller, I'm the out of controller, laying down the rubber road, straight to freedom!!" out the window as I drive 110 miles an hour. haha. I even wrote down much of the lyrics and memorized them, pretty geekly eh? :) Someday I'm going to have a car like Max's.

The Road Warrior
Many say this was the best of the series. I think I like the first better. I go 1, 2, 3 for order of preference. I really liked this one, not much to say about it. It looks pretty much perfect to me, I have no complaints.

Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome
Not many people seem to like this one. I loved it too. I mean it had so many cool quotes. "Two men enter, one man Leave!" "Master Blasta" "Who run Barter town?" "Bust a deal, spin the wheel" I think maybe people were turned off by Tina Turner. This movie was also kinda different. It wasn't the Road Wars we were used to although it did have some of those. It was kinda too strange for most people I think. I still loved it.

Waterworld
An Epic Masterpiece. I bought this movie the second it came out. I saw it in the theater and loved it. Siskel and egghead gave it 2 thumbs down. (That's when I started hating them). They said it was Mad Max on water. Well isn't that exactly what I want? Hell Yeah. I want a sequel but I doubt it will happen. This movie is just breath taking. Watch it on a big screen tv with a huge stereo. I couldn't find one thing wrong with this movie. The more I watch it, the more I love it. It cost a lot of money to make this movie and it was all worth it.

Clerks, whatever Trilogy
This is THE trilogy man, second only to Mad Max, (Screw Star Wars, that can take 3 :)

Clerks (1994)
I thought man, a black and white movie? Come on. But man was I wrong. This movie was so funny. I was laughing through the entire thing. "You'll laugh your @$$ off, I believe it says on the box. I know I did, you will too. This is a movie written by our generation, assuming you're in your 20s.

MallRats (1995)
Man this movie bombed in the theater. The creator knows it too. He doesn't know why and I don't either. This movie ROCKED man. I had to buy it. It is so gosh damn hilarious.

Chasing Amy (1997)
Man I'm sure this one bombed too, there was only about 10 or so on opening day (you better believe I was first to see that) This one was kinda more serious than the first 2. It dealt with Lesbianism sorta. When 2 chicks start kissing, an entire row got up and left the theater. Man that was pretty funny. (Don't worry only 1 kissing scene) But man this movie was pretty funny too. Me and Warp laughed through the whole thing. I'm buying this the second it hits video.

Dogma (1999)
I didn't like this one at all. I'm not Catholic but I did find this very offensive. There were SOME funny parts in the movie.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001)
This one is pretty cool. Check it out.

Falling Down (1993)
This movie is all about an everyday person who loses his job from the government, who gets fed up and doesn't take anything from anyone anymore. The movie is full of everyday annoyances we put up with but don't do anything about only this guy does something about it. The guy goes postal! He breaks things! He hits people! Then he gets guns! This is my kind of movie. It's exactly what makes Grand Theft Auto 3 so fun. The guy in the movie has some really interesting things to say, he's smart.

He attacks the:

*the rush hour traffic that doesn't go anywhere,
convience owner who charges 85 cents for a soda and can't speak english ("I'm rolling back prices to 1965!"),
*he goes after gang bangers that harass him for walking through their POS worth nothing territory,
*he deals with a drive by shooting,
*he goes after the homeless guy who wants money and pulls the I need gas money story
*the burger place whose food doesn't look like the pictures and won't let you get breakfast 5 mins past 10/11 a.m.,
*he attacks the construction workers who sit there all day not working on anything, or ripping up the road when nothing is wrong,
*he screws with rich people on the golf course

Everyone that saw the preview for this was saying hell yeah! A guy that goes crazy and won't take it anymore. I loved this movie. The ending kinda sucked but oh well. My favorite scene has to be the liquor store scene. How much for this Coke? Wrong answer!

Hot Rods to Hell (1967)
This is one you might have trouble finding. It's maybe 1960s, 70s. Here is the story, a bunch of kids in hot rods harassing a family on a road trip. I love this movie, I laugh my ass off through the whole thing. I think it was supposed to be a scary movie haha. TNT runs this movie every so often, late at night.

The Liar's Club (1993)
This movie stars Punky Bruster and Westley Crusher. The story is one of the friends rapes another friend (some friend) and then another friend kills the chick and then they all lie about it. Doh I gave the movie away. It's a pretty neato movie, Chris actually bought it. I got it recorded.

The 5th Element (1997)
I really enjoyed this movie. Bruce Willis is one of my favorite stars because of stuff like Moonlighting and the Die Hards. (Hudson Hawk sucked!) That Orange Hair chick in that movie was really fine. The story was kinda stupid but I still really liked it. At least it was Original

Starship Troopers (1997)
To me, Starship troopers was the best space movie since Total Recall or Star Wars. It was non stop action that had me at the edge of my seat pumped up. This movie also had plenty of laughs. Most of the laughs we related to the gory deaths and violence. What I liked about this movie is it painted a future unlike most of the space movies. Most movies like to make Earth a nice friendly place where everyone is fair and nice blah blah (like Star Trek so loves to do, remember Barney? I love you, you love me!) ST had none of that. The Earth was ran by a dictatorship of sorts. The feeling was something people compare to Nazis. Doogie even looked like one with his uniform :) But the great thing is there was no morals in here. No lame ass crap about we gotta free the earth from oppression, that's how it was and people accepted it. That really impressed me. This movie really had no starring cast. It was made up of has beens which I had no problem with. We had Doogie Houser what a gaylord. One of the guys was either from Melrose place or 90210 and the chick captain was from Party of 5 I think. Fox gone movies :) This was probably the most violent and gory movie I've ever seen. Before that, I think that title went to Total Recall for me. (Ignoring all those horror movies I never watch) ST had kind of a dark humor to it that had me laughing. The little kids stomping bugs, the 3-D Puke scene =) It was kinda neat how they worked chicks into the movie as tough people which I don't have a problem with either. I'm glad the language of the future was english, none of that lame ass Star Trek crap where it's a collection of all nationalities. Wasn't it funny how Buenos Aries was full of English Speaking American Kids? :) I also liked how the movie didn't look fake. The animation was well done enough so that I didn't notice it as fake other than those giant bugs. It was nothing like Batman or even Star Wars Special Edition with it's sorry ass Cartoon Computer Graphics. Scooby Do? :) ST really reminded me of Space, Above and Beyond. It gave that feeling of it's us vs them and I really liked that show. It was a much less grander scale than this but it was very similar and It's too bad that show was canceled.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)
A masterpiece. I went to this movie thinking it was another lame movie but it turned out to be one of the greatest movies ever. It took James Bond and made fun on it. There are just a million quotable scenes in that movie and it's must see.

Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged Me (1999)
Well it wasn't as cool as the first, few sequels are, but it still was pretty funny. Heathern Graham is reason enough to watch it.

Soldier(1998)
If you like Rambo: First Blood, this is a great similar movie. It's Kurt Russell as the obsolete soldier taking on the new breed of soldier 1onALL, Rambo style. That movie rules.
