The only cure for people like her (with a lot of money) is jail time. Paris Hilton made dramatic improvements after spending a week in jail (granted.... it should have been longer), but it did the trick. I'm old fashioned when it comes to movies too, I won't let my kids see R-rated or pg-13 movies. I won't even let them play violent video games, they are only 9 and 11. They didn't learn their first swear words until just last year. They asked me what they were and I taught them :) Then I threatened to wash their mouths out with soap if they ever repeated them.
I don't look down on other parents who don't share the same view. Everyone has their own way of being a good parent. The world isn't moving toward peace, more people feel entitled to stuff rather than working for it, obesity is out of control and it seems like people invent more ways to be horrible to one another. I'm not an Obama supporter by any stretch of the imagination and I am feeling the sting of the loss in our paycheck, but killer is right. We are paying what we should have been paying all along, we were just getting a break. I'm not sure why Obama did that, he only caused millions to hate him when they got used to the amount they were getting in their paychecks only to have it increase as soon as he won a 2nd term. Social Security has to be funded somehow, the tax break was a bad idea from the start. My husband will not see a dime of his SS when he retires, it will be bankrupt by then. And to be clear, I am against the whole SS program. I don't need to government to tell me how to invest for retirement and I despise that they robbed it for their stupid programs.
Fuel prices dropped right before the elections in 2008 because the economy took a nose dive. Then it steadily went up again. It's $3.08 here in my hometown, I'll take that amount over the $4.89 that I once paid once. If guns are banned, then only the criminals will have them. Think about it... only the good guys who are law abiding citizens will turn in their guns. So we have to leave protection up to police officers who are 15+ minutes away from the average home when it gets broken into. I don't like those odds at all.
I'm a huge believer in the 2nd amendment.

My own doctor plans to retire when Obamacare goes into effect, that makes me sad. He's very good at what he does, I searched and went through many doctors to get to him.
I think that if doctors are forced to work for the state, then the state should comp their student loans. Who wants to pay more than $200K to go to school and put up with all of the crap? But wait.... that'd be spending more money that we don't have.
