IN RESPONSE TO: $500 million underwater fiber network to link Asia, America

According to the article, it seems like the cable will provide more of a direct link to South-East Asia, Oceania, Hong Kong and outlying US islands to western US. Does not seem like mainland China is going to be affected by this so I doubt you really have to worry about Chinese farmers for the moment.

Hopefully it means that Australians playing WoW (like me) will have improve latency and connection to the servers at the US.

Don`t worry about Half-life Episode 2. It is still not yet out. Currently its slated for the third quarter of this year but may be subjected to change.

IN RESPONSE TO: Nintendo Fixes the Wii Strap in AUS

I heard that fishing lines make a good substitute since they are very hard to break.

IN RESPONSE TO: Wii 4 Player

You definitely need a lot of room to play the Wii with 4 people. Best to also clear breakable stuff from the area especially when you have kids around.

IN RESPONSE TO: Valves New Game: Portal

Prey started it all. Though the portals in the game are stationary, the game pretty much established the technology: walking into a portal to get teleported onto a different part of the map, shooting through the portal. In fact in certain parts of the game and on one multiplayer map, you could actually shoot through the portal and hit yourself (thus killing yourself if you are not careful).

IN RESPONSE TO: Superman eschews longtime patriot act

I thought Captain America was more of the American Hero than Superman.

IN RESPONSE TO: New Vatican Condemnation of 'Da Vinci Code' Movie

I`m going to watch it just for entertainment value. We all know this is fiction like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter (which the church also condemns). How can you miss a movie with Tom Hanks and Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf and Magneto), with Ron Howard as director? It would be like a sin in Hollywood.

IN RESPONSE TO: Nintendo's Wii Surprise Hit Among Video Game Expo Attendees

"Who wants to pay $600 for PS3..."

Hear! Hear! Why pay $600 for something that tries to imitate an aspect of the Wii?

"It`s all about how the Chinese descovered the World before the Europeans."

I think its being long established that Chinese discovered the world first before any western nation in the past. Chinese(Mandrin and the dialects) has become the world`s most spoken language. If the westerns discovered the world first, the most spoken language would have been English.

IN RESPONSE TO: Indians Are Asian

Who ever said Indians were not Asians? Last I check a map/atlas, India was part of Asia: The South Asian Region together with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh etc.

China, Japan, Korea etc. make up East Asia. Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia make up South-east Asia. North Asia is pretty much Russia.
