The basis of the game is this, first search for clues, that way you have evidence to "prove" certain things later on in the conversation.
Interrogate them, sometimes they really do just tell the truth, but watch for them if they make eye contact or not, stutter, make weird gestures, this probably means they are lying.
If they are lying but you have no proof, hit doubt and try to get more out of them. If they are lying and you do have proof, then click lie, they will respond with "oh really detective, then prove it" at which point you have use your notebook to click to the evidence that you think proves them wrong.
It`s tough b/c you have this huge list of clues you have and if you say lie and you select the wrong clue, you`re screwed and they stop talking about the issue. Posted: May 19th, 2011 @ 10:30AM
SPOILER ALERT: Not much of a spoiler since it`s the very first interrogation and they give you a bunch of retries if you mess up but this will give you a good idea of the difference between lie and doubt.
Lie: You know he killed the guy and he says he has no idea what you`re talking about but you have an eye witness account of it, you have proof that someone said he killed the dude.
Doubt: His motives were racially driven, you merely heard that the other dude hates jews, but you have no proof that he did it b/c of that, so you doubt him. Posted: May 18th, 2011 @ 3:05PM
BTW once you start playing the game the most frustrating part was figuring out the difference between Doubt and Lie during interrogation. Lie means you have evidence to prove they are lying. Doubt means you think they are lying but you have no proof. Took me a while to understand this. Posted: May 18th, 2011 @ 11:35AM
Okay so I`ve played a few missions after the academy and being the "complete everything 100% perfect ADHD" type of person that I am, I find it annoying I can`t go back and redo stuff but it certainly makes me pay more attention. Posted: May 18th, 2011 @ 12:53AM
Costco only allows members to pump gas there, they were trying to cheat the system by having only the member pay for the gas, of course it doesn`t help that they don`t know how to pay for gas. I wouldn`t say its suspicious, just idiots. Posted: April 15th, 2011 @ 10:12AM
charkoth we`re not saying you`re shooting him, we`re say he could have been crazy and shot you. anyhow you didn`t give the disclaimer that he forced you into oncoming traffic. that`s not a similar dick move compared to cutting someone off at the gas station. Posted: March 1st, 2011 @ 6:34AM
yeah bluefalcon is right, its not worth it to do dumb stuff, b/c you never know if the other person is absolutely crazy or not.
I try to justify not doing anything by saying that I feel sorry for the person. they probably get abused by their wife/husband at home so they take out their aggression this way. Posted: February 28th, 2011 @ 9:31PM
Ever since my kid was born, I vowed never to play any type of MMO ever again. The last thing I want coming out of my mouth is "Sorry I don`t have time to play catch with you, I have a raid to make." Posted: January 10th, 2011 @ 4:57PM
haha zeddic I remember the wall in with protecting our towers. I basically use the wall in for early ling rushes as terran, to basically create a smaller choke point for lings and sealing off with scvs. Posted: November 1st, 2010 @ 2:13PM
Being a former UCLA Bruin, I`ll vouch for hanging out in Westwood. There are plenty of bars around there, and if you are there on a Monday, there is Margarita Monday for $1.50 (well it was that price when I was in college) at El Torrito.
There`s also a good cookie/ice cream place called Diddy Reise, across from the FOX movie theatres where they always have movie premieres. There`s also an In-N-Out around the corner. I`d say Westwood is a must see place. Plus there`s some places to shop too if you want. Oh yeah, if you like chicago hotdogs, if it`s still there, it`s diagonaly across from FOX theatres. Oooh yeah one more place called fatburgers, which I think is better than In-N-Out, thats near Circuit City near Parking lot 32.
If you wanna have breakfast, there`s a breakfast place near there too, forgot the name but for 3 bucks you get Joe`s breakfast, which is something like hash browns, 3 eggs, 2 sausage/bacon. Posted: December 7th, 2005 @ 6:29PM
I`m actually the guy in charge of this database. Yes some of the images are rather old. This was taken about 1 year after 9/11, so it`s nearly 3 years old now. We had an image of the rubble right after 9/11 but that was quickly replaced. (no one wants to be reminded of it).
Right now we`re more interested in international data. The latest Google Earth/Maps database has included a very large number of international cities. For those of you who want to see the world in 3d check out earth.google.com its absolutely free. Posted: July 14th, 2005 @ 7:47PM
Considering that E. Coli is mostly found in GROUND BEEF, eating a steak that is less than well done will probably not get you sick. Even if the surface of the steak had E. Coli, simply cooking the outside surface will kill the bacteria. The middle of the steak has no way of getting infected so therefor you are safe as long as the outside is cooked. So go ahead and eat your dried up steak, no wonder you need steak sauce, it probably tastes like crap. Real steaks dont need steak sauce. Posted: May 31st, 2005 @ 8:20PM
I didn`t read the other 30+ messages, but if your video card is giving a "spaz light show" what might have happened is your video card fan is dying out.
That`s what happened to me and I see all these artifacts when I play 3d games. Pretty much what happened was my video card overheated when my fan started to die. I`m not sure what you can do about this except get it replaced. Posted: February 11th, 2005 @ 2:39PM
Strut you`re a tool, go away. You know, we all had our doubts about this whole Iraq thing. If that video didn`t convince you that the people of Iraq want this to work, and that the people of the US want this to work, then you`re a fool.
There were death threats made to anyone that went to the polls yet they came in swarms. How can anyone say that the people in Iraq dont want to give Democracy a try? How can they say we are "Shoving it in their face" when they line up on the streets like that. They are saying there is a 70% turn out on voting, that is huge to say the least. "However, if you`re able to set the C-switches properly, you`ll be able to manipulate the machine in any way you want, get free drinks, change the price, set up cool buy-one-get-one-free deals, etc, etc . Not to forget, knowledge is power. One step closer to free sodas!"
Maybe you didn`t read the article? Just set the damn thing so 5 cents per soda. Posted: February 1st, 2005 @ 2:07PM
