Action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger has denied reports that he has decided not put himself forward as a candidate to be the next governor of California. The Terminator 3: Rise Of Machines star, a staunch Republican, rubbished comments made by a source that he and wife Maria Shriver had come to a decision about the change of career. Instead his political spokesman George Gorton issued a statement saying: "There are reports in the media that Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided not to run in the California recall election. These reports are incorrect. Arnold spent the weekend continuing his due diligence regarding a possible run. He has made no decision at this time. He will continue to weigh the pros and cons with his family and will continue to seek the counsel of supporters and colleagues."

Well, he is from Austria, but he probably has a home nearly everywhere. I know for sure he has a home in Vegas. He has probably spent the most time in California being a bodybuilder/actor.

It is really amazing how inconsistent you truly are. Do you even know Schwarzenegger`s stance on social issues? He supports issues which you apparently are vehemently against, such as gay rights, yet you want to see him as governor of California.
Personally, I think he would make a great governor, he shares my social liberalism and fiscal conservatism. However, I doubt he will annouce his candicacy, after all he has no experience in fiscal policy, and if he does have aspirations for a political future, taking on a deficit the size of CA would be suicide.

All successful actors have this idea of "it`s okay to be gay" because otherwise they`d be blacklisted as homophobes and never make any money. It`s kinda like the way actors/models/etc all think that the rich are rich via luck because they are all rich via being "discovered," which they have no control over except to be "out there" being seen. They have to depend on someone else for their success, so they assume that`s true of everyone. Which it isn`t.
