Thanks. Just picked it up for my PS3. Should note that Amazon also has the download edition for the PC available on sale for $40 but it is a console port so I'd stay away.
The pc version of Deus Ex is one of the best PC "ports". Other developers should take note. I think it is better than the console versions for the following reasons:
FXAA
Higher quality textures
you can interact with door keypads with the numpad on your keyboard
FOV settings ingame (all pc games should have this)
Keeps track of two autosaves so you can pick which one
faster load times
Steamworks support
It's an amazing game but they really give back to their PC roots and the original Deus ex. =]
I just read that the controls were not very intuitive on the PC version and didn't allow for keymapping (which sounds crazy if true).
You can rebind keys.
Also, it's a first person shooter: obviously it controls way more intuitively on the PC ;). Hearing the opposite is like someone saying how good PCs are for fighting games compared to consoles. I think someone was just messing with you.

Yeah this game was absolutely awesome. I pre-ordered on a whim thinking it MIGHT turn out ok, but man it was great.
The best part was it was LONG. I hate when I buy a game that is pretty badass but the developers couldn't be bothered to either a) make it long enough for one play through or b) skimp on the length but add tons of replay value. DXHR is both super long and had decent replay.
I just bought Warhammer 40K: Space Marine. The single player was AWESOME, if slightly shallow. What sucked was I beat it in like 6 hours on Hard. Reminds me of Gears of War - great games, but too short and with 0 replay value. I guess they both expect to be COD, but that game's multiplayer is just so magical that I don't even bother with the single player.
Really this is the main reason I'm looking forward to Diablo 3. Awesome game at half the length, but there's 5x the replay value with different classes AND 4 progressive difficulty levels AND randomized levels AND it's multiplayer. I'll be playing that damn game for years.
