Recently I went and visited my old man and he surprised me by handing me a bunch of newsletters that he subscribes to. This surprised me because he is for the most part not very political. Hillsdale College is a conservative University that publishes a monthly newsletter called Imprimis.

There is this Kali Compton member named Enforcerman. He worked his way up into a leader in the Kali Compton guild, basically because I asked that he be put there. Not many people actually like him. He was just the voice of the opposition to balance out the NICE people in the guild. You know god's and clods. You need people of all types to represent different points of view.
He's had all sorts of conflicts in the guild. He had a druid and managed to piss off all the druids. He managed to gank some item from some other guild and pissed off all them. He goes around pissing people off, pretty much just like me. But this guy manages to get about a 98% hate rating while I'm only at 50%. The difference is, I admit I'm an asshole.
Anyway. The other day this guild member was muted
by Enforcerman as a "joke.". The guy was so sick of him, he quit the guild over it. I learned that he just hates Enforcerman and some other guild member. Of course he's scared of him and wouldn't tell that to him to his face since he's a guild leader. Obviously the guy wants to continue in the guild and you can't piss off the leaders to continue.
So I have someone talk him into coming back. He's all set to come back except Enforcerman has to invite him. He has the power. So what does he do? He sits there for 30 minutes demanding information and answers and just won't do it.
Why? He's always on a power trip. He always wants to be in charge either IRL or online. So after a while he eventually adds him. He continues to make up excuses etc about the whole thing.
Anyway, I create some poll about whether or not guild members think he's an asshole He was losing bad! 60% think he's an asshole. He had 20% of unsure. Only 1 person thought he was cool.
So what's he do? He starts deleting forum threads, deletes the poll, threatens to remove posting access.
He bought up the domain name of the guild just so he could control it. Multiple time's he's threatened to take the site or control the site and so on. He bought the Domain name and wanted to host the site, just for that very purpose. Of being a power trip lamer controlling everyone.
So I thought I'd come over here and give guild members and anyone else to still vote on whether or not he's an asshole.
He can be nice, but that is pretty rare.

I don't know him, but "yes, for sure" is going to take it by a landslide. About 99% of what you wrote regarding his online behavior is negative.
I didn't have problems with Enforcer but I can see why people see him as an asshole. I guess I was never at the other side of it. He is also a pretty cool guy. But yeah, he can be an asshole.
These types of people are the reason I stopped playing MMOs, in the end if I can`t be successful with a group of 5-10 friends in a game, then it`s not worth it because of all the tools you have to deal with.
every post ive ever seen of enforcerman has led me to believe he was an asshole before this post. I couldnt imagine being in a Wow guild with him.. mainly because im an asshole too.. and generally assholes dont get along well with other assholes

Just buck up and get another domain and webspace for your guild and kick his ass out. It`s amazing you put up with the guy.

In my guild (which I am in an officer position but not a GM) if anyone tried to pull a quarter of the crap I just read about here they`d be out without a word.
How did enforcerman get into your guild anyways. everytime I hear about someone being in kali compton it seems more like it`s an attempt to recruit popular, or formerly popular players in an attempt to look good but not necessarily be good, though I have no idea how good you guys are or aren`t.
If this is the same Enforcerman that took control of a popular StarCraft web site, which is 99% likely, then I can offer a view of what he was like in the past before Kali Compton, having served with him on the SC web site for a short time.
The guy is ambitious, and strives for excellence. He enjoys having power, and enjoys both helping and controlling with that power. His real life profession reflects this as well. I certainly wouldn`t want to be caught speeding with him on duty.
As someone who worked with him to help restore a web site, he was willing to work from the shattered remains of a site and help turn it into something which could thrive once again. His `presence` is huge and noticed. He knows what he wants and he will go after it without reservation. I left in my role assisting him once he started to display ads on his site and pocketed the cash.
I can`t blame the guy though for going after what he wants though. If he is anything like he was when I knew him, he has aggressive leadership qualities and is willing to put in more than his share of work to accomplish the goals of whatever he is doing.
Even without knowing his exploits in the Kali Compton guild, I bet he does a good job in leadership. After all, why waste time debating over someone who wasn`t a good leader? A trashy do-nothing leader with an attitude would probably have been kicked without a second thought.
Bottom line: A bit of a power trip but can definitely gets the job done. Thumbs up from this former associate.
He is a good guy overall. Some people are competitive and controlling when in a position of power. Some handle it differently. Personally, I was a bit of an ass much of the time too, but that was not to the degree of Eman. Eman is older and probably less patient, especially when he is playing with people half his age at times. If he comes to view you as a peer, everything will be fine. Eman likely suffers from what much of the core KC people end up suffering from, they believe the members of guilds function is to serve them and there needs. They use them to get what they want and could probably care less about the person helping them.
It is not isolated to Eman by any means either. Back in the day, Nebu would do much of the same things Eman is doing. The only difference here is the control over the website that he uses for his benefit in controlling the members voice. KC has had plenty of power hungry people at or near the helm, including myself, which have rubbed people the wrong way at least once.
We, the people who talk to him everyday (Kali Compton), know him to be an alright guy at the end of the day. He has his moments, but who doesnt.
The sad part about this is that Eman brought this post upon himself with is actions at KC.com, but this could have been settled and resolved another way surely. Eman knows how to forgive and has done so many times in regards to this game and the players he plays with - I should hope that courtesy is returned if he makes and effort to change his ways.

Being an asshole ingame, being hated and everything is ok, it`s part of the game. You can an ass if you chose to. If you can live with people hating you ingame, cool for you, whatever floats your boat. So yeah, he`s an assohole, but I don`t think anyone should care.
Playing the power card on the forums is NOT ok. It`s an action directly against your guild, not individuals anymore.
Many cops become assholes because of the constant crap they have to deal with. As a cop you have to deal with the worst side of people day in day out, and your respect for the human race diminishes.
My sister dated a cop and I watched him turn from a nice guy into an asshole over the period of about 5 years, while there are nice cops out there you can see why they become assholes by seeing the drunk morons and criminals they have to deal with every night.
