What an asshole. Going after a dead actor who championed civil rights long before it was popular in Hollywood is just cowardly.

After convention warm-up, Romney to make his case in nomination speech
    Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on August 31st, 2012 @ 9:49AM

Link - This guy is the absolute worst. He has no idea about reality whatsoever. He's hiding his money off shore. He's just another fat cat sponsored by corporations. A few people here like him because he's Mormon and they're also Mormon. In today's elections, it's what corporations are vs. what other corporations. You're just voting for corporations, which could certainly not care at all about you or me. This is the Robocop future. (even Detroit is jacked like Robocop).

It's not even worth voting anymore. You're not even given a real choice. You can vote OTHER which is a waste of your time as well. Nobody gives a crap about other. They don't care if 2 person vote A, and 1 person votes B. and 97% don't vote. All they care about is winning.

Both sides suck. Every day at lunch they talk about how evil Republicans are. I'm the only one there that even agrees with some of the Republican thoughts. But let's look at how awesome the last 4 year have been with Democrats. Note: they have not been awesome. Obama bailed out all these lame corporations and countries. We send money to Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan while America gets crappier. He didn't get us out of wars like he promised. He jacked up health care for anyone who already had health care. 82% of doctors are thinking about quitting. The gas prices are horrible. My stocks have been horrible. This is who the angry internet and current generation people want us to vote for. They want to flood our country with illegals and then make them legal to get their votes. They want anyone who is working to pay for all the people who are not working. Punish the people who can actually be productive. The space program fell apart while they buy more war machines to fight in lame dirt shit countries. Obama is the worst.

On the other side, Republicans are a bunch of lame asses bent on war for their corporation money and defense contractors. They want to control the internet. I can't seem to remember the last time they did anything for us besides the Bush tax cuts. The republicans come from corporations, do politics, then return to their corporations with big bonuses after the help pass things that are only in the interest of their pet corporations. None of them know what the common man is like at all they're so rich.

And if you vote you get pulled for Jury duty. So why vote? Politics is a complete waste of time. There's nothing we can do to fix it. It's just going to get worse and worse.

Pretty much sums it up nicely. Romney is a dipshit. Obama is a dipshit. All politics is bullshit.

Having a big ego, abusing power, and shamelessly thinking you can get away with it all is something you find in equal proportions on each side of the political aisle.

I will say this though, this Weiner dude's offense was probably closest to that of Chris Lee. At least Lee had the decency to admit his transgression quickly and immediately resign. Weiner was out of his mind to allow himself to keep twisting in the wind so long. Even the top Democrats weren't shy about publicly telling him to GTFO.

In the summer of 2008, the Edwards were back in the news. After a year of rumors and tabloid reports, John Edwards admitted to having an affair with a campaign worker Rielle Hunter in 2006.

In early 2010, John Edwards admitted he was the father of Hunter's then 2-year-old daughter, and the Edwards announced they were officially separated.

Another political wife burned by her cheating husband. But you have to wonder how complicit they are in all that. Are their marriages even real to begin with? We're supposed to feel sorry for Hillary but she's probably even dirtier than Bill is.

Yeah, safe to say his political career is KAPUT.

Then again, Democrats routinely elect morally bankrupt people like Al Franken and would totally re-elect BJ Bill Clinton again in a heartbeat if given the option, so maybe he still could pull something off one day.

Let's stop for a moment and give a big FU to all you Obama change people. Like you, I wanted change from the nonsense of the Republicans such as wars on the wrong countries, big government, the police state etc. But Obama wasn't the right answer. You knew he was going to suck even more than Bush unless you're an idiot. Just because he's black doesn't mean he was the answer to the republicans. He's just a goose of the same color (dirty). Democrats want your money to spend it on bs programs while at the same time adding in all kinds of pet projects as bribes. They're just as dirty if not more.

How can we really bring about change? I think we can do nothing to bring about change. All we can do is not vote for these idiots and make them lose their jobs when they are failing. That's what I did, I quit voting in 2004, as did many others and that let Obama win. But as you can see, that doesn't solve anything. But at least we don't waste our time going and voting.

To bring about change we need a 3rd party that has the ideals we want. People keep trying on that, going back to even Ross Perot (what a tool) and earlier. But all that does is remove votes from either the Republican or Democrat side and just lets your enemy win. Perot took votes from Bush Sr and that let Clinton win. So Perot people f-ed everyone over. So by voting for a change in another 3rd party that even is good (like Ron Paul), ends up making your side lose even more.

What's the answer? Don't vote unless it's to f someone out of office where it can realistically happen. You'll never convince everyone to vote for a 3rd party unless it's some action star like Arnold. The 3rd party is always going to fail and you just look like idiots. The only 3rd parties that can ever win are Governors and occasionally minor positions.

Maybe the best answer is ones that people try to arrange which is Republicans and Democrats sharing the government which limits their ability to fuck things up by keeping them doing nothing.

  • GOP likely to urge Obama officials not to shred documents - "Armed with the House majority, Republicans next year will enjoy subpoena power something they have not had in four years."
  • Republicans Capture House in Historic Wave, Claim 'Mandate' to Shrink Government - "He also said his party needs to "lay the groundwork" for repealing the "monstrosity" health care law, with the eventual goal of replacing it -- an unlikely prospect as long as Obama is in the White House. "

"In races from Florida to Virginia to Indiana to Texas Tuesday night, voters were sending a rebuke to the party in power by electing Republicans over Democratic incumbents. Seniority did not seem to matter. Longtime representatives were falling just as hard as freshmen, succumbing to campaigns -- many of them backed by the Tea Party movement -- that tied them to unpopular federal policies and proposals. "

"In a symbolic victory, GOP Rep. Mark Kirk beat Alexi Giannoulias for Obama's old Senate seat in Illinois after a hard-fought race."

"Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer was also able to fend off a stiff challenge from Republican Carly Fiorina in California. " --- < MAN I HATE HER. She's been around forever.

"In California, former Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown will return to his old job after beating former eBay executive Meg Whitman. " < LAME

Obama administration appeals gay marriage ruling
    Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on October 15th, 2010 @ 2:12AM

    Link - ROFLMA at Democrats.

The Obama administration decided on Tuesday to appeal a judge's rulings that prevented the U.S. government from banning same-sex marriages, a move that could undermine support among President Barack Obama's traditional liberal base ahead of a key election.

    Bwahaha is right.

Obama is throwing the gays and lesbians under the bus. It isn't that he wants too, they are one of the most solidy blue constituencies around, it is because he has too to continue his liberal agenda.

It is quite simple really. People on both sides cry about activist judges. The funny thing here is that this judge is on the liberal side, striking down a fairly conservative law. The problem is that the judge is in a district court striking down a federal law. If this sits, it sets a precedent for future cases where non-federal judges can strike down federal laws. That is the LAST thing that Obama's administration wants. It threatens the core of much of what he as done while he has been in office.

Of course the gays are taking this personally. They are now promising to sit home during the election to punish Obama. But for them to fight obama on this is retarded as well, as the republicans are NOT going to be pushing any pro-gay legislation when elected. They take everything personally, and cry 'hate' loudly when people express interest (by voting) for agendas that don't match the pro-gay legislation. It has nothing to do with hate but the gays don't see that.

So the pro-gays are going to make a HUGE fuss about this instead of let it get resolved further down the road in a way that would be in the progressives favor(bigger government). People who think that Obama is trying to reach out to the middle are clueless: He is doing this to preserve federal power. I for one welcome reduced federal power, but I doubt this case was a good way to go about it, as states being able to ignore federal mandates is a definite step towards civil rebellion. Of course, depending on how this is resolved, it is going to have a HUGE effect on how the challenges to obamacare go. If Obama can reduce the number of ways for states to challenge obamacare, he is going to go for it... even if that means abandoning 'less' important supporting groups, like the gay friendly liberals.
