I sit at the lunch table and everyone at the table is anti-religion, pro-Obama. I'm seriously at the wrong lunch table haha. They believe, like those you see on reddit, that people who believe in religion only do so because they were brainwashed and they're dumb. I think they're dumb to believe we came from Monkeys or that it's just chance that we're here and all the miracles in the world are by chance.

But the questions I put to them is:

Q: What is the point of life without God?
I feel sorry for those people. They have to have fun and enjoy life as they can and have no one to turn to during hard times.

Q: Why should I follow societies rules if there is no God? They're just man made laws.

Q: Why shouldn't I just do whatever I can or want that I can get away with? There's no point to being "good" or "doing the right thing" when there is no right or wrong defined by God. All of the right and wrong flows from God. You're either doing something pro God or doing something pro Satan. If God or Satan don't exist, then the whole concept of right or wrong doesn't exist. You only have things that OTHER people think are right or wrong and what right do they have to determine what is right or wrong. Most of us have an internal sense of right or wrong as given to us by God. Those who choose wrong, either know what they're doing, or there's some mental cases where something is wrong with their brain and they can't make proper decisions.

Anyway, it's just sickening to see the anti-God trend on the internet which allows all these people to connect and rant together against God when previously it was much more difficult for them to gather.

Isn't there some sort of saying. Everyone finds God in a Foxhole?

It's the religion of peace!

Story - We're the religion of peace! Just don't draw our leader, or insult him, or make a cartoon or we'll kill you and burn the place down.

Take some time and go through all of your stuff and gather a donation box. Get rid of old clothes, electronics, whatever. If you can, sell it on Craigslist (I don't feel comfortable dealing with those people). Otherwise, just donate it. Lay the stuff all out and take pictures of what you're donating and also write it down. Then come tax time, if you use Turbo Tax you can use their program to figure out the value. Then it gives you more money back at tax time.

You also feel good about yourself helping someone out or at least making your place better. Don't be lazy. Go to http://www.goodwill.org/ or Salvation Army to find a location. Salvation Army comes and picks things up too for large furniture.

So today at Church this family came and claimed they were out of money and needed help back to the east coast. Their story was that they came out to meet a parent they had never met and it didn't work out. Then their kid got sick in the hospital here and that took all their money. Well 2 people in our family said that if they didn't have money they would have wrote it off or never asked for the money right away. So their story is nonsense. Well I got shammed into $10 and I bet they went away with like $300-400.

To me, going to a church and asking for money is the oldest scam in the book. Every one knows you can go to a church and give some sob story and ask for $. I almost never give any beggers money because of all the scamming going on. In San Fran some guy that looked like a bum went into a bank and someone asked about him and they said he had $50k cash in the bank. Scammers.

I ignore anyone asking for money. I just give money to my church and hope they do the right thing with it. We were talking about it and even most charities rip people off. They play around with the finances to keep like 60-80% of the money and only 40% or so goes to the thing people are donating to.

Link - Requiring their priests and nuns to not have sex and marry goes against the bible. The only person who didn't do that was Jesus and that's cuz he was out of there at age 33 or so. They have 0 excuses for requiring that.

They also have done a horrible job of punishing their members or leaders who have molested boys. They've spent tons of time covering it up and re-assigning molesting leaders to other parts to cover it up or paying people off. Because of that, that whole religion is a joke to some Catholics who are disillusioned with their religion.
